Our Pastor & Family

Pastor Byron Sanders grew up in Phoenix, AZ, but has long had a love for both the beauty of the Washington landscape as well as the people who have made it their home. After graduating high school, he moved to Oklahoma City, OK, where he attended Heartland Baptist Bible College and graduated four years later with a BA in Biblical Studies. During his time in college he married Mrs. Rachel, who is from Selah, Washington.  Shortly after his graduation, he went on staff at the First Baptist Church in Great Bend, KS.  After two years on staff in Kansas the Sanders moved to Arizona to establish Fairhaven Baptist Church in Coolidge, AZ, which was started in January of 2007.   In the summer of 2017, Pastor Sanders felt the calling of God on his life to plant a church in the Pacific northwest.  In September of 2017 the Sanders moved to Ferndale where he began to pastor Faith Baptist Church.  God has blessed Pastor Sanders and Mrs. Rachel with five beautiful children, Abigail, Hannah, Hudson, Andrew, and Beau.
